Just saw the motion picture Kuro Obi. It had a great display of the kata in karate, but it seemed to focus too much around one particular black belt and the idea of having a black belt.
Anyhow the actors were presenting amazingly good performance in their techniques.
The old master who dies quite in the beginning of the movie, tries to resemble Gichin Funagoshi. Specially when he states that karate does not have the first attack (Karate ni sente nashi).
