The first new beginners course in Atarashii Naginatado in Finland will begin in September 2009. Before that it is possible to try out the martial art in the week of Helsinki 90 years. This is in Monday 24th August, from 18:30 to 20:00.
The new beginners course will be held during Tuesdays 20:30 - 22:00 and Sundays 16:00 - 18:00 until the end of the year. The course starts in Tuesday 15th September 2009. The training equipments in the beginning can be any track suit and a straight stick with a length of approximately two metres.
The demonstrations of the four ways of practising the path of the Japanese sword are in Wednesday 2nd September 2009, 18:30 - 19:30. These demonstrations are held in the Helsinki Kendo Club dojo, Eastern corner of the Olympic Stadium.
